Hallie Marie Byrn

Marion Hallie Marie Byrn, 94, of Marion formerly of Crab Orchard, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at 5:20 P.M. in Herrin Hospital. Hallie was born February 22, 1910 to Finley and Ethel (Yewell) McDonald in Saline County. She married Carl Byrn on October 15, 1927 in Marion and he preceded her in death on November 08, 1976. Hallie was a homemaker. She was a member of Ferrell Baptist Church and the Marion Senior Citizens. Survivors include: Daughter Loudene Blumenstock and husband Robert of Marion Granddaughter Jane & Jim Wallis of Mendota, IL Three Great Grandchildren: Scott & Lori Leppert of Cameron, NC Traci & David Manion of Mendota, IL Steven & Andrea Leppert of Montgomery, IL Five Great-Great Grandchildren: Jordan, Ryan and Allyson Manion of Mendota, IL Stephanie Leppert of Cameron, NC Katelynne Leppert of Montgomery, IL Sister Louise Galloway of Crab Orchard Host of Nieces and Nephews Caretaker and friend Donna Wollard Preceded by: Parents, Husband Carl, Grandson Kenneth Dale Blumenstock, Four Brothers Floyd, Frank, Kenneth & Harold McDonald, Sister Hazel Carter and infant sister Pauline. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 23, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Bill McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be given to VNA TIP Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
