Hallie Sizemore

Herrin- HALLIE SIZEMORE, age 84, of Herrin, passed away at 6:15am on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at her daughters home in Johnston City. Hallie fought a long, hard battle to stay with her loved ones, but Our Lord came and took her to his peaceful, beautiful Heaven for eternity. Hallie was born on August 31, 1922 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Orval and Vivian (McFall) Holmes. She married Wesley Sizemore of Herrin in 1945. Survivors include: Two daughters- Gloria Zimmer of Johnston City, IL and Bonnie Sizemore of Herrin, IL Five grandchildren- Tammie Roper of Johnston City, IL Dennis Warren of Johnston City, IL Brian Warren of Marion, IL Cassandra Seagle of Herrin, IL Katherine Hill of Bluford, IL Eight great-grandchildren- Ashley, Michael, and Kennadi Warren Miranda Elders Herschel, Peyton, and Emma Seagle Ashley Knepler Two sisters- Myra Etling of St. Louis, MO June Phillips of Loundes, MO Hallie was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley; her parents; and two brothers; Orval & Harold Holmes. She was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother & friend. The family especially would like to thank all the staff at VNA Tip Hospice of Herrin, for all the excellent, loving and tender care they gave and all the wonderful support they provided in this time of need. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM, Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Private family services will be held at a later date with Pastor Scott Kelley officiating.
