Carterville-Harmon A. Whitecotton, 90, died 7:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at Friendship Care Center in Herrin.
Harmon was born July 7, 1913 in Murphysboro to Oscar & Luetta (Greathouse) Whitecotton. He married Gladys McIntosh on March 7, 1950 in Chicago. Gladys survives.
Harmon was a retired, having worked at Tuck Tape for many years. He attended Crossroads Tabernacle in Bush.

One Daughter: Betty Peters of Rockford
Twenty Grandchildren
Twenty Nine Great Grandchildren
Four Great Great Grandchildren
One Sister: Luetta Counce of Hurst
Also survived by several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Jimmy Wesley Whitecotton, two sisters Mary Mize & Ida Mae Walker.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 21, 2003 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Naomi Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
