Harold Edward Rich

Goreville- HAROLD EDWARD RICH, age 76, of Goreville, passed away at 4:30pm on Monday, November 5, 2007, at his home in Goreville. Harold was born in Bellwood, Illinois on May 22, 1931, the son of Everett and Opal (Ralls) Rich. He married Betty Nunnery in Piggott, Arkansas on October 22, 1949. Together, they shared fifty-eight years of marriage. She survives in Goreville. Mr. Rich was retired from the Village of Melrose Park. Survivors include his wife- Betty Rich of Goreville, IL Two daughters- Priscilla Dewelde of Melrose Park, IL Patty Jo and Harold Edgil of Goreville, IL Six grandchildren- Bill and Deborah Rich of Elmhurst, IL Ryan Mellema and wife Melissa of West Chicago, IL Priscilla Kerr and husband Keith of Goreville, IL Joseph Rich and wife Juliana of Goreville, IL Roxanne Carrilla-Pudillo and husband Felix of Goreville, IL Blake DeWelde and wife Lisa of Grays Lake, IL Thirteen Great Grandchildren- Desirae, Matthew, Joseph, Shyann, Leah, Gabriella, Nicholas, Alex, Mario, Emily, Anthony, Dominic, and Marco Four brothers and sisters-in-law- Leon and Diane Rich of Marion, IL Deon and Joyce Rich of Creal Springs, IL Charlie and Toni Rich of Grays Lake, IL Jim and Carol Rich of Berkley, IL Two sisters- Sue Rich of Marion, IL Hazel Chamness of Carbondale, IL Four Step-Grandchildren- Chesley, Jeanie, Jackie, and Joyce One Step Great Grandson- Anthony Harold was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers- Roy, Erskine, Elmer and Paul Rich. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, November 11, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with the Rev. Shorty Alsip officiating. A eulogy will be given by Mr. Russell Rich. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00pm at the funeral home. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
