Harold Wesley Rentfro 87 of Decatur passed away on Tuesday December 23, 2008 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday December 26, 2008 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 N. Monroe Street, Decatur, IL with Pastor Joe Drew from Peoples Church of God officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 11:00 am Friday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Funeral service will also be 10:00 am Saturday in Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market, Marion, IL. He served in the army Corps of Engineers CBI Theater during WWII. He retired from Mueller Company after 42 years of service in Department 80. During that time he represented AIW Local 838 as a Committeeman. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Reba Kathleen (Berry) Rentfro; daughters, Sandy (Joe) Porter; Cindy (Mark) Cheviron; son, Randy Rentfro(Ron Lennon); brothers, Carl and Maurice; sister, Loramae; grandchildren, Holly (Ed) Whorton; Wade (Catherine) Porter Zachary (Christy) Cheviron; Nicholas (Jolene) Cheviron; and Chase Cheviron; great-grandchildren, Kate and CJ Porter, Iraina and Maya Whorton, and Bailey Cheviron, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Dolly and Virginia in infancy and a sister-in-law, Betty Rentfro. Local arrangements were handled by Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
