Harold Rudy "Dugan" Raymond

Harold Rudy “Dugan” Raymond, 85, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 3:20 A.M. at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. Mr. Raymond was born March 08, 1928 in Poole, Kentucky the son of Herschel Graham and Rudy Lorene (Polly) Raymond.  He married Ella Rue Frizell on August 22, 1977 in Marion and together they have shared over 35 years of marriage. He was a Navy veteran, proudly answering the call to serve his country during WWII.  Dugan attended Cornerstone Baptist Church.  From 1965 – 1988 he was an Educational Administrator, starting at Magnolia Swaney School District, Newton School Systems and later at Carbondale School Systems.  For the last 22 years he worked with his wife in Raymonds Custom Draperies. Dugan was a strong and faithful Christian, he loved the Lord til he drew his last breath on early Monday morning.  He loved his Wife and family very, very much. He is survived by his; Wife – Ella Rue Raymond of Marion Son – Ronald W. England and wife Brenda of West Frankfort Daughter – Lisa M. Fry of Marion Three grandchildren;   Belinda Sue Frye   John Walter England   Eric Milon Fry Five Great Grandchildren Preceded by his Parents, Son – Michael Eugene England. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 1 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hicks and Rev. Michael Nauve officiating.  Burial will follow in County Line Cemetery in Creal Springs.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
