Energy Harriet Hunt Rockefeller Clark, 92, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 11:25 P.M. at the Good Samaritan Adult Living Facility in Palm Coast, Florida.
Mrs. Clark was born July 8, 1916 in Energy the daughter of George & Ava (Johnson) Hunt. She married John J. Rockefeller on February 1, 1952 in Washington, D.C. and he preceded her in death in September 1989. She later married Robert H. Clark on April 26, 1991 and he preceded her in death on January 7, 1995.
Harriet lived in Washington, DC for 31 years and worked for the U.S. Government for 16 years. She was a WWII veteran, serving overseas in London, England. From 1969 1979 Harried lived in Ormond Beach, Florida, moving to Tryon, North Carolina from 1979 1989. After the death of her second husband, Harriet was known for living in various places, among them Mt. Pleasant, SC, Laurens, SC, and Lakeland, FL. However, she always considered Ormond Beach, FL to be her home. Mrs. Clark was active in the Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church, Winning Women, and Cherry Laurel Garden Club. Very patriotic, she enthusiastically supported and attended the formation of the Women Military Service to America Memorial in Washington, DC.

Helen C. Dorsey and husband Vince of Keller, Texas
Philip A. Rockefeller and wife Jennifer of San Antonio, Texas
Eight Step Grandchildren
Niece Judith Welsh of Lakeland, Florida
Nephew Michael H. Wright of Pembroke Pines, Florida
Preceded by her parents, husbands and three sisters, Mary H. Wright, Lola Rhe Tisch and Georgia Hunt.
Graveside services will be Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 1 P.M. at Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. Cindy Bean officiating. Military rites will be presented by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and National Guard Military Honors Team. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
