Marion Haskell Hunter, 91, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 2:01 P.M. at Fountains Nursing Care Center. Haskell was born January 10, 1917 the daughter of Wesley and Ada (Wheeler) Reagan in Mounds. She married Charles Pearce in July of 1935 and he preceded her in death on September 16, 1946, she then married Walter William Hunter on April 26, 1946 in Marion and together they shared 50 years of marriage until his death on April 16, 2002. Haskell operated Haskells Beauty Shop in Marion for over 40 years. She was a member of the Warder Street Baptist Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, where she had served as President and District President. She is survived by: Daughter-in-law JoAnn Pearce of Marion Ten grandchildren; Debbie Clanahan and husband Ed of Johnston City Ken Hilliard and wife Helen of Tucson, AZ Cindy Gibbons and husband Pearl of Marion John Coats of California Susan Kramer of Oregon William Coats of West Virginia Alan Coats of California Walter Pearce and wife Mary of California Donna Nichols and husband Darrell of Missouri Steven Pearce of Georgia 24 Great Grandchildren 8 Great Great Grandchildren Niece Catherine Eisenhauer of Murphysboro Cousin Jari Jackson of Marion Preceded by her Parents, Husbands, Son Don Pearce, Two Daughters Charlotte Hilliard and Janet Coats, Brother Harry Summers, Granddaughter Christine Mondus. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Ken Hilliard officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
