Marion- Hazel B. Jolly, 86, of Marion, passed away at 8:07 PM, Friday, July 28, 2006 at Fountains Nursing Care in Marion.
Hazel was born on June 15, 1920 in Graves, AR to Lawrence E. & Nancy Blanche Irene (Layton) Floyd. She moved to Southern Illinois in 1945 and has lived mostly in Marion since then. She married Ralph D. Jolly on April 24, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1996.
Mrs. Jolly was of Lutheran faith and attended Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Desoto. She enjoyed raising roses and enjoyed horses. She took up bowling in her 50s and became quite good. She could be seen at various local bowling alleys with her friends. Hazel loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed visiting her family in Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter; Deborah Matusiak, five brothers, and two sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 31, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Pastor Craig Hostetler will officiate. Burial will follow at Desoto Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Sunday, July 30, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
