Johnston City- HELEN E. MIZE-INCHCLIFF, age 82, of Johnston City, passed from this life at 4:54am on Friday, September 21, 2007 at Herrin Hospital. Helen was born in Cambria on December 15, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Mattie Pierce. She married Paul Mize in Charleston, Missouri on August 18, 1941 and together, they shared thirty-five years of marriage, until his death on November 8, 1976. She later married Lloyd Inchcliff in Colp, IL on February 23, 1987. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2007. Mrs. Inchcliff was a member of the Royalton Apostolic Church. She is survived by: One daughter and son-in-law- Cathy and Richard Myers of Johnston City, IL Two step-daughters and son-in-law- Rhonda and Elbert Walker of Royalton, IL Carolyn Newberry of Carterville, IL Two step-sons and daughter-in-laws- Dennis and Gloria Beavers of Tacoma, WA David and Leta Inchcliff of Visalia, CA Two granddaughters- Tina Myers of Johnston City, IL Crystal and Tim Jacobs of Johnston City, IL Three great granddaughters- Brookelyn, Michaella, and Faith Jacobs of Johnston City, IL Two sisters- Mildred Pittman of Murphysboro, IL Darlene Spiller of Hurst, IL Several Nieces and Nephews Helen was preceded in death by her parents- Frank and Mattie Pierce; one sister- Lily Mize; and three brothers- Roy, Kenneth and Jake Pierce. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, September 24, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Cundiff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
