Helen Imogene Johns

Creal Springs Helen Imogene Johns, 79, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 10:40 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Imogene was born December 7, 1926 to Mont and Eva (Parton) Davis, Sr in Marion. She married James Kenneth Johns on August 16, 1953 at the home of her parents and together they have shared over 53 years of marriage, he survives in Creal Springs. Imogene had operated a beauty shop in her home and worked at Albrights Clothing. She was member of Arnold View Baptist Church; where she had been a lifelong piano player and Sunday School teacher. Survivors include: Husband James Kenneth of Creal Springs Son Keith Johns and wife Gayla of Marion Daughter Monica Neice and husband David of Thornton, Colorado Four Grandchildren: Justin Johns of Arlington Heights Jamie Hess of Marion Andrew Neice of Stanford, California John Neice of Thornton, Colorado Great Granddaughter Gracie Hess Brother - Mont Davis and wife Virginia of Creal Springs Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in County Line Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
