Helen Juanita Moore

Herrin- Helen Juanita Moore, 88, of Herrin, passed away at 10:35 AM, Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Herrin Hospital. Helen was born on April 8, 1921 in Ferges to Ernest & Elizabeth (Mason) Trout. She married Charles Groves on June 12, 1941 in Elizabethtown. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1961. Later she married Charles Moore and he preceded her in death in 1983. Helen was a homemaker and a member of Herrin First Baptist Church. Survivors include- Daughter- Kathy Lockwood of Herrin Daughter- Janet Myott of Johnston City Daughter- Diana McNeill of Herrin Nine Grandchildren: Kevin Williams & wife Heather Jeffery Williams Chris Cutsinger & wife Carmen Becky Robinson & husband Danny Jami Mazurek & husband John Patrick McNeill Molly McNeill Troy Groves Stephanie Tunaley & husband Sean Nine Great Grandchildren Sister- Susie Avripas & husband Pete of West Frankfort Several nieces & nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son- Jackie Groves, infant grandson- Kenneth Ray Cutsinger, two brothers- Jack and Tom Trout & two sisters- Hazel Graul and Betty Bird. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Chris Cutsinger will officiate. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Saturday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/ 201 S. 13th St/ Herrin, IL 62948.
