Helen L. Jones

Helen Lorene Jones, age 95, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Marion Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Helen was born in Williamson County on July 18, 1917, the daughter of Audie and Cora (Graves) Campbell. She married Donsel Jones on December 7, 1957 in Corinth, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1995. Mrs. Jones was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was a homemaker, she loved to work in her yard and her garden caring for her flowers. Survivors include one son- Danny H. Peterson of Marion Two Daughters- Shirley and Fred Curtner of Marion Donna and Bill Ninness of Marion Six grandchildren- Connie Peterson of Warrensburg, Missouri Greg and Judie Curtner of Pittsburg Kim Kennedy of Marion Anita Curtner of Marion Angela and Jeff Beasley of Creal Springs Stephanie Ninness of Marion Eleven great grandchildren and Five great great grandchildren Sister- Thelma Thompson of Salem She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Paul W. Lee, Jr. and Rev. Bobby Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 1:30 P.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
