Helen Marie Turner, 89, of Marion passed away on Friday, January 31, 2003 at 8:58 A.M. At Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Helen was born on March 15, 1913 in West Frankfort, IL to Herman and Pearl (Odum) Mosley; they both preceded her in death. She married Glen Turner in Bartonville, IL, he passed away on July 2, 1984.
Helen was a medical secretary at the Peoria State Hospital. She was a member of the Marion Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Marion Womens Club and the Williamson County Republican Womens Club. Helen was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Helen is survived by a son, Ken Turner of Peoria, IL and a granddaughter, Heather Turner of Missouri, and one great granddaughter, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, two brothers, Frank and Ernest Wayne Mosley, and a sister Evelyn Parkinson.
Funeral services will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home on Monday, February 3, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Earl Black officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Monday.
