Marion- Ida Marie Boester, 88, of Marion, passed away at 8:15 PM, Saturday, July 9, 2005 at Fountains Nursing Center in Marion. Ida was born on February 12, 1917 in Williamson County to Rudolph Henry & Louise (Pape) Boester. She retired from Cox Hardware & Gifts in Marion. She was an active member of Zion United Church of Christ. SURVIVORS: Daughter- Delores L. Deaton- Marion Granddaughter- Beth Ann Murphy & husband Tom- New Burnside Granddaughter- Pamela Lynn Craig- Marion Great Grandchildren: Samantha Clayton- New Burnside Pamela Sue Craig- Goreville James T. Murphy- Marion Rachel Rock- Marion Brother & sister in law- Rudolph & Jean Boester- Marion Brother & sister in law- John & Theresa Boester- Marion Sister in law- Erma Boester, Marion, Il Several nieces & nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Herman Boester; and four sisters, Elsie Hrovatich, Nora Boester, Freida Boester & Esther Carter. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Zion United Church of Christ. A time of gathering will begin after 10:00 AM, Wednesday at the church. Rev. Kenneth Kramer will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Davis-Prairie Cemetery. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations are suggested to Zion United Church of Christ and will be accepted at the funeral home.
