Herrin- Imogene “Jean” Wyatt, age 85, of Herrin, passed away at 8:55pm on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin.
Imogene was born in Herrin on February 7, 1932, the daughter of Earnest and Eva (Edwards) Brasher. She married Charles Wyatt, Jr. in Energy on September 5, 1948. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1981. Mrs. Wyatt was a member of the West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin.
Imogene's favorite things in the world were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to cook for others and her backdoor was always open for anyone needing a hot meal. She loved the Lord and served Him through serving others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son- Billy Wyatt, Granddaughter- Michelle Steinmetz, three brothers- Earnest, John, and Odas Brasher, and two sisters- Mary Duiguid and Geraldine Griffith.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Richard Pearce and Dr. Andrew J. Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
