Irma G. Hastings

Marion Irma G. Hastings, 88, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2006 at National Health Care in Irma was born July 17, 1917 to Chester Arthur and Zella Mae Simmons in Marion. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Hastings; loving mother of Patricia Moody (Russell); dear sister of Jack and Robert Simmons (Gloria); dear sister-in-law of Elza Smith; proud grandmother of Gerri English (Robert) and Jeff Nichols (Virginia), great-grandmother of Laren Phelps, Kristen Ragen, Blake English and Scott and Steve Acres and great-great-grandmother of Isiah and Isaac Ragan and Julia Phelps; preceded in death by parents, Chester Arthur and Zella Mae Simmons and sister Mary Rita Smith. Dear aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend too many. Mrs. Hastings retired after 35 years of service from St. Johns Bank in St. Johns, Missouri. Graveside services were held on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Norman Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Schell officiating. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society
