Herrin - J. T. "Ted" Green, 64, died at 10:20 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2002 at his home. Mr. Green was born February 10, 1938 in Detroit, MI to James and Violet Lee (Walker) Green. He married Cheryl Smothers August 5, l979 in Marion, IL. She survives of Herrin. He was an instructor and coordinator of career development at John A. Logan College. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Survivors include: His wife - Cheryl A. Green - Herrin Son and dtr in law - James T. and Joan Green - Doraville, GA Daughter and son in law Sheila and Tim Seiler - Boonville, IN Daughter - Tracy Brasel- Boonville, IN Son and dtr in law - Joshua C. and Christy Beamer - Ft. Riley, KS Son - Jason R. Beamer - West Frankfort, IL 10 grandchildren - Edmund Walker Green, Gregory Green, Austin James Seiler, Dillon Keith Seiler, Brittany Lynn Brasel, Taylor Lynn Brasel, Brandon Dale Brasel, Andrew James Beamer, Emma Grace Beamer and Rachael Smith. His parents preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2002 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Msg. Ken Schaefer will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. A Prayer Service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. A private family graveside service with interment of Mr. Green's cremains will be at St. Frances DeSales Cemetery in New Burnside, IL at a later date. Memorials may be made to the John A. Logan College Foundation or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home.
