Marion Jack D. Bearden, 77, passed away on Saturday February 11, 2006 at 5:37 P.M. at his home in Marco Island Florida with his family at his side.
Jack was born May 16, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to Herman and Lora (Sanson) Bearden. He married Dorothy Parks in Piggott, Arkansas and together they shared almost 48 years of marriage until her death on October 3, 1993. He then married Marion Ange in Perry, Florida on December 6, 1995, she survives in Marco Island.
Jack was the owner of Bearden Construction Company. Jack working along with his father Herman, built schools, high rise apartments and public housing across Southern Illinois. He served as a board member for the Bank of Egypt and later Banterra Bank until his retirement at age 70. Jack was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Marion Masonic Fellowship Lodge #89 A.F.&A.M. and of the Williamson County Shriners. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a lifetime member of Marion VFW Post #1301. Early in his life he was an avid horseman. He especially enjoyed owning and showing a cutting horse. He was a member of the National Cutting Horse Association.

Funeral services will be Mon, February 20, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Paul Lee officiating and Warren Willis will give the eulogy. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by Marions VFW Post #1301 and American Legion Post #147. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 P.M. 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be conducted by Marion Masonic Fellowship Lodge #89 A.F.&A.M. on Sunday at 5:00 P.M.
For those who prefer memorials may be given to Hospice of Naples, Florida, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, Florida 34105 by mail or will also be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
