Marion-Jack L. Horsley, 79, died 11:00 P.M., Friday, May 31, 2002 at Parkway Manor in Marion.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 3, 2002 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Melva England officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 1301 of Marion.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Mr. Horsley was born June 9, 1922 in Marion to Luther & Edith (Davis) Horsley.
He married Inez (Anderson) Horsley on December 19, 1943 in Marion. She survives.
Jack retired from CIPS with 27 years of service as a switchboard operator at the CIPS Grand Tower Plant. Prior to working for CIPS, he was a construction electrician. Jack was of the Methodist Faith. He WW II Navy Veteran. He was a member of B.P.O.E. #800 in Marion; where he was Past Exalted Ruler. He was also a member of the American Legion in Murphysboro, Jackson County Country Club and Kokopelli Golf Club in Marion.

He was preceded by his parents, one brother Bill Horsley & one sister June Horsley who died in infancy.
