Jack Ray Jones, 48, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at 5:35 P.M. in his residence. Jack was born March 18, 1955 to Lora Laverne & Dorothy (Smith) Jones in Marion. Jack was an over the road truck driver, a welder and mechanic. He was a member of the Church of God. Survivors include: Mother Dorothy Jones of Pittsburg One (1) Brother and Sister-in-law George & Jane Jones of Pittsburg Seven (7) Sisters: Lela K. Jones of Johnston City Shirley L. Hill of Carterville Josephine Varner of Carterville Eva Vojvodich of Johnston City Sandra J. Long and husband Larry of Johnston City Karen S. Bush and husband George of Herrin Judy Holmes of Energy Several nieces and nephews Preceded by: Father, Brother, James L. Smith, Nephew, Blaine Alan Fleming Funeral services will be Friday, March 19th at 1:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow in #8 Cemetery in Corinth. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
