Herrin- JACKIE MAYS, age 59, of Herrin, passed away at 7:30pm on Monday, October 20, 2008 at Friendship Care Center in Herrin. Jackie was born in Herrin on April 13, 1949, the son of Howard and Eunice Mays. He worked as a machinist. Survivors include his four daughters- Eunice and Josh McRoy of Royalton, IL Crystal Mays of Belvedere, IL Karrie Cravens of Carterville, IL Deeann Pino of Energy, IL His ex-wife- Elizabeth Mays of Energy, IL Four Granddaughters- Bethany, Bridgete, Nikki, and Kiara One Grandson- Johnny One Brother- Johnnie Mays of Herrin, IL One Sister- Judy Walker of Herrin, IL Numerous Cousins Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 24, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Emmanuel Jackson and Pastor Joe McRoy officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-11am on Friday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
