James Bruce Chambers, 65, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 9:44 A.M. at his home.
Bruce was born August 4, 1945 in Owensboro, Kentucky the son of Dr. Virgil & Myrl (Martin) Chambers. He married Darlene Show on April 9, 1966 in Owensboro, Kentucky and together they have shared over 44 years of marriage
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He retired after serving the U.S. Courts for the Southern District of Illinois for 30 years, the last 15 of which he served as Chief U.S. Probation Officer. Bruce volunteered at the soup kitchen and loved to fish and hunt.

Son Jason Chambers and wife Angie of Louisville, Kentucky
Daughter Dana Quinn and husband Chris of Bentonville, Arkansas
Five Grandchildren;
Tommy, Katie & Cassie Quinn
Cole & Paige Chambers
Two brothers;
Darrell Chambers and wife Jay of Plant City, Florida
Frank Chambers and wife Diane of Louisville, Kentucky
Sister Donna Jo Price of Owensboro, Kentucky
Preceded by his parents.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Deb Pollack and Pastor Ray Long officiating. Burial will follow in McKinney Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2 5 P.M. at the funeral home.
