James Lingle, 85, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 10:23 A.M. at Parkway Manor.
James was born May 6, 1927 in Marion the son of Orea and Alice (Brush) Lingle. He married JoAnn Ellen Christy on March 10, 1951 in Piggott, Arkansas and together they have shared over 61 years of marriage.
He was an Army veteran, proudly answering the call to serve his country during WWII. James was of the Baptist faith, he was a retired welder pipefitter for Local #551 of West Frankfort.
James is survived by;

Christine Nowicki and husband Paul of Troy
Barbara J. Ray of Goosecreek, South Carolina
Nancy J. White of Russellville, Arkansas
Seven Grandchildren
Twelve Great Grandchildren
Preceded by his Parents, Son Neal Carlos Lingle and Brother Ted Lingle.
Graveside services will be Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11 A.M. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion with Rev. Tim Ozment officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
