Herrin- James E. Jimmy Lynn, 36, of Herrin, passed away at 10:30 AM, Friday, May 8, 2009 at Herrin Hospital. Jimmy was born on August 10, 1972 in Oakland County, MI to Terry Eugene & Linda J. (Dallas) Lynn. He graduated from Salem High School in 1991. After graduation, he went into independent living for almost a year. He worked for Kaskaskia workshop in Centralia at Forbes State Park. He mowed and cleaned up the beaches. Next, he moved to Herrin and began working for Franklin Williamson Human Services doing janitorial work until 2003. After that, he worked for his mothers day care. He enjoyed playing and watching cartoons and movies. He won numerous medals for his participation in Special Olympics in events like bowling and ball throwing. He enjoyed traveling with his family and got to see Sea World, Disney Land, Universal Studios, the Knights of the Round Table, Graceland and eating at the Hard Rock Caf. He enjoyed gaming and spending time with family and friends. Jimmy was saved and baptized at Iuka General Baptist Church. Survivors include- Mother- Linda Todd & husband Kenny of Herrin Sister- Susan Hall & husband Kermit of Zeigler Aunts & Uncles: Shelia Goldman & husband Ricky Carol Stacks & husband Scott Donna Hallercan & husband James Steve Lynn & wife Valarie Wayne Head Lious Head Linda Niece- Brittany Hall of Zeigler Several cousins He was preceded in death by his father & grandparents- James Lynn & wife Audrey, Ernest & Mamie Jolly, Hazel & Val Dallas, Erma Neff & uncle- Gary Lynn. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home. Memorial donations are suggested to the family or Franklin Williamson Human Services and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/ 201 S. 13th St./ Herrin, IL 62948.
