James L. Fuller, 91, passed away on Thursday, March 08, 2012 at Noon at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. James was born September 9, 1920 in Marion the son of Walter Louis and Jesse (Geer) Fuller. He married Helen LuEllen LaBotte on March 12, 1942 in Charleston, Missouri and together they were blessed with over 64 years of marriage until her death on June 19, 2006. He was an Army veteran, proudly answering the call to serve his country during WWII. James retired from Norge and prior to that he had worked at various mines for over 20 years. He was a member of the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church of Marion. Survivors include; Daughter Winetta McKinnies and husband Rev. Jim of Willis, Michigan Daughter Marilyn Sullins and husband Rev. Richard of Marion Five Grandchildren; Bradley McKinnies and wife Janet of Milan, Michigan Rebecca Wood and husband Carl of Little River, South Carolina RaGina Johnson and husband Tim of Willis, Michigan Kim Clonts and husband Kenny of Irmo, South Carolina Julie Heelein and husband Don of Woodstock, Illinois Thirteen Great Grandchildren Preceded by his Parents, wife Helen, brother Kenneth Fuller, two sisters Margaret Berry and Louise Gamblin Funeral services will be Monday, March 12, 2012 at 1 P.M. at the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. April Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery with military rites presented by the Marion VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and members of the National Guard Flag Detail Unit. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 3:30, and 5:00 8:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959 or at the church the day of the service.
