Marion James H. Clark 87, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 12:28 P.M. at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield. James was born December 1, 1920 the son of Hearsley and Margaret (Greeney) Clark in Pittsburg. He was raised by his grandfather John Greeney. James was united in marriage to Lois Mae Kelton on March 11, 1939 in Cape Girardeau, Mo and together they have shared the last 68 years of marriage, she survives in Marion. James was a member of Second Baptist Church in Marion where he taught Sunday School for many years. His working career was with Zeigler and Old Ben Coal Company. James proudly served his country in the Army during WWII and he had been a member of the Marion Masonic Lodge #89 A.F. & A.M. for 32 years. He is survived by: Wife Lois Clark of Marion Two Sons; Jim Clark and wife Kathy of Dix Ronald Clark and wife Vickey of Marion Daughter Joyce Blades and husband Michael of Marion Seven grandchildren; Jim Clark and wife DeAnna of Dix Tom Clark and wife Michelle of Paducah, KY Heather Jones and husband Steve of Cortland, NY Heath Clark and wife Carmen of Carterville Kyle Clark of Tampa, FL Lisa Odum and husband Zach of Marion Melissa Blades of St. Louis, MO Seven great-grandchildren; Lindsey Clark, Will Clark, Jameson Clark, Samantha Clark, Caitlin Jones, Taylor Clark and Jasmina Gonzalez Rivera Brother Roy Clark and wife Dorothy of Carbondale Two sisters-in-law; Ethel Gill of Marion Ruth Clark of Elkville He was preceded in death by his Parents, Grandson, Michael Travis Blades and one Brother Wilburn Clark of Elkville. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Frank Pierce and Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, evening from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Masonic services will be presented at 7:00 P.M. by Marions Masonic Lodge #89 A.F. & A.M.
