Marion To Run Saturday, July 6, 2002 James ?Jim? Kirk Odum, 76, of Stockton, California, beloved Husband, Father and Boompa, passed away on July 1, 2002 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born January 30, 1926 in Downers Grove, Illinois. He married Janet Odum, and enjoyed 56 years of marriage. James served in the Navy from 1943 to 1946 as a PHM 2nd Class. He participated in the Normandy Invasion during WWII and later in the Pacific. He was a member of the VFW and LST 508 Association. He worked for and retired from 3M Outdoor Advertising Division. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. James had resided in Stockton for 31 years. He is survived by his wife, Janet Odum of 56 years, Three children, Beverly Skelton of Stockton, CA, Carolyn Wallace of Vancouver, WA and James Odum Jr. of Stockton, CA, one brother, Donald Odum of Anna, IL, Eleven grandchildren; Steve, Jeremy, Greg, Tim, and Andrew Skelton. Tricia, Johnnie, Toby, Sandy, Shannon and Jeff Wallace. Three great grandchildren; Taylorjade and Lyla Skelton, and Hailey King. Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2002 at 3:00 P.M. at the Odd-Fellows Cemetery in Marion, Illinois. This obituary and guest register may be viewed
