Crab Orchard James Lester Les Hall, 82, passed away on Monday, June 05, 2006 at 12:05 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Les was born March 5, 1924 to Raymond and Ida (Williams) Hall in Saline County. He married Betty Pulley on December 31, 1947 in Piggot, AR and she preceded him in death on September 17, 1999. He later married Valerie Frey in Nashville, TN and she survives in Marion.
Les worked as a coal miner for 44 years. He was a farmer. He was a WWII veteran who served in the Pacific Ocean. Les was a member of Center Baptist Church in Crab Orchard. He was a loving Father, Husband, Brother and Uncle and a good family man. He also loved to ride horses.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Joe Akins officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by Marions VFW Post #1301 and American Legion Post #147. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
