James was born January 06, 1938 in Charleston, Illinois to Russell T. & Edna M. (Kingery) Willingham. He married Betty J. (Brown) Oxendine on February 02, 1975 in Cahokia, Illinois and she preceded him in death on January 08, 2001.
James was President of Southern Mold. He was a member of The Behold the Lamb Seventh Day Adventist Church of Herrin.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Kenneth Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
