Marion James Ray Williams, 64, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 11:15 A.M. at his home.
James was born July 12, 1943 in Urbana the son of Charles E. Williams & Katherine (McQueen) Wardlow. He married Janet Kobel on December 8, 1963 in Champaign and together they have shared over 43 years of marriage. She survives in Marion.
James served 2 years in the Navy. He was a graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering. He worked for Smith-Corona and Magnavox in the ETL testing lab. James was a member of the Lake of Egypt Christian Church where he had served as Chairman of the Board for many years, President of the Crestwood Estates Association and the Lake of Egypt Country Club.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at the Lake of Egypt Christian Church with Brother Leroy Waggoner officiating. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion will be handling the arrangements.
