James T. Triplett

Herrin- James Thomas Triplett, age 92, of Herrin, passed away at 11:30am on Saturday December 24, 2005 at Paradise Manor Nursing Home in Marion. James was born in Herrin on October 10, 1913 to Omer and Minnie Payne Triplett. He married Fairy Loucille Freeman on November 7, 1942 in El Paso, TX. She preceded him in death on July 15, 1998. Survivors include- 3 brothers- Bob and Juanita Triplett- Herrin, IL Dennis and Roberta Triplett- Herrin, IL Eugene Triplett- Corpus Christi, TX Nephew- Jerry and Susan Triplett- Zeigler, IL Nieces- Kimberly and Bob Essex- Herrin, IL Francis Gene and Larry Norman- Herrin, IL Several nieces and nephews Close friend- Troy Finney- Herrin, IL James was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 3 sisters- Leona Thomas, Pearl Jackson and Haleen Triplett, and 3 brothers- Harold, Leonard, and Woodrow Triplett Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday December 28, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Freeman Spur Cemetery in Freeman Spur with military rites performed by the Herrin VFW and American Legion Posts. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday December 28, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
