Jan Milkowski

HERRIN- Jan Milkowski, age 50, of Eufaula, AL, formerly of Herrin, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at her Eufaula residence following an extended illness. Born August 1, 1955 in Herrin, IL, Jan is the daughter of Donald and June Popham of Doniphan, MO. She is the wife of Mark S. Milkowski of Eufaula, AL. Mrs. Milkowski, a resident of Eufaula since 1990, worked as a Lab Technician at the Lakeview Community Hospital from 1991 until October of 2005. She previously worked as a Lab Technician in Illinois at the Red Bud Hospital, Pinkneyville Hospital and at the Herrin Hospital. Jan, a former member of the Westview Baptist Church in Belleville, IL, was presently a member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Alabama, where she was a choir member and active in many church activities. She was very involved with the Crisis Pregnancy Center. Jan loved to cook and bake and check on the elderly, whom she would take food to. Milkowski- Eufaula, AL Brother and Sister-In-Law- Jeff and Glenna Popham- Grand Junction, CO Sister and Brother-In-Law- Dawn and Richard Barwick- Herrin, IL Sister and Brother-In-Law- Deana and Alan McDaniel- Potosi, MO Sister and Brother-In-Law- Druann and Brian Snavely- Kenosha, WI Mother-In-Law- Geneva Milkowski- Colp, IL Aunts-In-Law-Agnes Polifronie- Colp, IL Corina Perrine- Herrin, IL Great Uncle- John and Leota Popham- Herrin, IL Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins-in-law Special care givers and friends- James and Martha Young Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
