Jarrell Chaney

Elkville-Jarrell Chaney, 64, died 6:15 P.M., Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin. He was born February 15, 1942 in Carrier Mills to Harvey & Mildred (Jarrell) Chaney. He married Jayne (Ray) Chaney on July 15, 1990 in Marion. She survives. He was a truck driver. He was veteran of the United States Army. He attended Third Baptist Church in Marion. He enjoyed gardening and playing the piano. Survivors Include: His wife: Jayne Chaney of Elkville Two Sons: Mark Chaney of Carbondale Jeremy Chaney of Carbondale Daughter & Son-In-Law: Jennifer & Don Harker of Cincinnati, OH. Step Son & wife: Mike & Christy Bunton of Bement, IL. Step Son: James Bunton of Decatur, IL. Step Daughter & husband: Elizabeth & Jack Yates of Carbondale. Nine Grandchildren: Celest & Anna Grace Harker Amiah & Carson Chaney Madison, Jonathan, Autum & Draven Bunton Jack Yates He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Cremeens officiating. Eulogy will be given by his sons, Mark and Jeremy Chaney. Military rites will be conducted by Marions VFW Post 1301 and American Legion Post 147 following the service at Mitchell-Hughes.
