Marion- Jean E. Haught, 74, of Marion, passed away at 11:30 AM, Monday, April 13, 2009 at her home in Marion.
Jean was born on July 1, 1934 in Carbondale to Ira & Ruby (Laffoon) Batson. She was retired after working many years for area industries.
Jean was protestant and loved crocheting, quilting and riding motorcycles with her husband when she was younger. She most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, James Phillips Haught, Son- James Phillip Haught, grandchildren- Tonya Yvonne Haught & James Phillip Haught, Jr & brother- Charles Ray Laffoon.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 17, 2009 at Abundant Life Assemblies of God Church in Marion. Rev. Jeff Baker will officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. A time of gathering will begin at 1:00 PM and extend until time of service, Friday, at the church. Memorial arrangements were made at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
