Herrin- Jean Irene Nasser, 75, of Herrin, formerly of Atlantic City, NJ, passed away at 6:45 AM, Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Herrin Hospital.
Jean was born on July 1, 1935 in Atlantic City, NJ to Adolph and Irene (Klemuk) Sollis. She graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1953. She married John David Nasser on October 1, 1982 in Atlantic City, NJ. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2002.
She worked many years as Executive Secretary to the Vice President at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. The family moved to Herrin in 1986 and she began a second career at Famous Barr in Carbondale and worked there until her second retirement.
She was catholic and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She enjoyed listening to Barbra Streisand, watching reality TV, going to the movies and reading vampire novels. She was a caring and outgoing lady who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family (especially her grandchildren) and caring for animals.
She will be dearly missed by

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date in Atlantic City, NJ. Memorial arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
