Herrin-Jean N. Davis, 79, died 12:20 A.M., Monday, October 27, 2003 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. Jean was born June 2, 1924 in Herrin to Thomas Earl & Zema Elinor (Sullivan) Taylor. She married John Elvin Davis on May 9, 1941 in Denver, Colorado. John preceded her in death on March 18, 2002. Jean was member of the West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin. She was a homemaker. Survivors Include: Son & Daughter In Law: Paul Richard & Janice Davis of Lake City, FL. Son & Daughter In Law: John W. & Marsha Davis of Sandwich, IL. Son & Companion: Dewey D. Davis & Ann Hall of Eatonton, GA. Son & Daughter In Law: James Joseph & Sheila Davis of Herrin Son & Companion: Robert Wayne Davis & Sally Sumner of Austin, TX. 15 Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren Sister In Law & Brother In Law:Betty & Delmer Lee Davis of Davis of Lakeland, FL. Sister In Law: Anita davis of Herrin Sister In Law: Jewell Avripas of Herrin Sister In Law & Brother In Law: Mary Jo & Richard Havens of Evansville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Robert & Thomas Anderson Taylor, one infant sister, Vera Katherine Taylor. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 31, 2003 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Griffith officiating. Entombment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be 6:00 to 9:00 P.M., Thursday, October 30th at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to West Monroe Apostolic Church.
