Herrin- JEANNE CARNAGHI, age 67, of Herrin, passed away at 2:30pm on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at her home in Herrin.
Jeanne was born in Carterville on June 7, 1940 the daughter of Guy and Mary (Gray) Gossett. She married Ernie Carnaghi in Decatur, Alabama on November 6, 1968 and together, they shared thirty-eight years of marriage. Ernie survives in Herrin.
Mrs. Carnaghi was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She worked at the Illinois Caf for many years and was also a homemaker. Jeanne was an avid bowler, having once carried one of the highest averages in the city. She was President of the Herrin Womens Bowling Association for fourteen years.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents and one son- Tony Cook.
As per her wishes, her body will be cremated. A private memorial service will be held at San Carlo Cemetery at a later date with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family.
