Jennie Coloni Fairchild

Jennie Coloni Fairchild, 88, passed away at 4:49 P.M. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion. Jennie was born January 03, 1916 in Herrin, the daughter of John and Augustina Coloni. She was united in marriage to Floren Fairchild in February 1939 and they enjoyed over 50 years together until his death in March 1989. Jennie grew up in Herrin, but lived all of her married life as a homemaker in West Frankfort. For many years Jennie was faithful with her attendance as a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in West Frankfort, she later attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She was very active in the St. Bernadette Sodality and the hospital ladies auxiliary. Survivors include: Sister-in-law: Imogene Absher and husband Mason of Marion, Nieces: Betty Jean Bowles and husband Ed of Marion,Celeste Sims and husband Larry of Plano, TX, Nephews: Bill Absher and wife Sandy of Marion, Mike Harty and wife Lola of Murphysboro,Pat Harty, Springfield, IL Several Cousins Preceded by: Husband, Parents, Sister and Brother-in-law Cel and Charlie Eovaldi The funeral Mass will be Friday, April 16, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer and Father Brian Barker officiating. Burial will follow in San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 8:00 P.M. at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Prayer service will be held at 6:00 P.M.
