Jerry Lee Bloodworth

Marion Jerry Lee Bloodworth, 60, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 10:45 A.M. at the Veterans Nursing Home in Marion. Jerry was born May 17, 1949 in Carbondale the son of Ernest Lloyd & Thelma Maetta(Schaubert) Bloodworth. He had proudly answered the call to serve the nation in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Jerry was a carpenter and a member of the American Legion Post #147. He is survived by; Two Daughters; Jennifer Little of Atlanta, Georgia Krystle Hill of Marion Two Grandsons; Zachary & Nicholas Hill of Marion Three Brothers; Dale Bloodworth and wife Donna of Marion George Bloodworth and wife Annette of Herrin Bill Bloodworth of Marion Two Sisters; Marti Emery and husband Randy of Marion Brenda Moake and husband Bill of Taylorville Several Nieces and Nephews Preceded by his Parents and Two Brothers. Funeral services will be Friday, April 16, 2010 at 11 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery. Military rites will be presented by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and National Guard Flag Detail Unit. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
