Jessie Irene (Sneddon) Issler Simmons, 84, of Marion passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11:30 am at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Jessie was born February 24, 1931 in Marion the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Ruth (Livingstone) Sneddon. She married Leon Issler and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1993. She then later married Robert Simmons who preceded her in death in 2008.
She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and the Deborah Circle. Jessie worked for over 20 years as Dr.Kaeser’s receptionist. After retirement she then helped care for her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, taking trips to Alaska and Scotland, once even driving to the top of the world in her car. Jessie loved the time she spent with her family, visits from Ron, Cathy and her grandchildren. She enjoyed daily calls from her children and loved telling people about her grandchildren.

Daughter – Cathy L. Kigin and husband John of Terre Haute, Indiana
Son – Ronald L. Issler and his partner Stuart Nettles of Metairie, Louisiana
Four grandchildren;
Kelly Simmons of Tacoma, Washington
Eric Simmons of Sheridan, Wyoming
Katie Kigin of St. Louis, Missouri
Sam Kigin of Terre Haute, Indiana
Sister – Elizabeth Ruth (Sneddon) Hancock and husband Ray of Marion
Nephew – Barry Hancock of Marion
Nephew – Capt. Daryl Hancock of London England

Preceded by her Parents and husbands.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 27, 2015 at 12 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. John Holst officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
