Jimmie Bahre

Herrin- Jimmie Bad News Bahre, age 75, of Herrin passed away at 3:51 PM, Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at his home in Herrin. Jimmy was born in DuQuoin on April 23, 1935, the son of Ruben William Bahre. He was a United States Air Force Veteran having served in Okinawa in 1953. An avid bowler, he was proud of his 300 game. Jimmy was a lifetime member of AF & AM Masonic Lodge #234 and Oddfellows of DuQuoin. Survivors include his brother- Carl Dean Bahre of St Louis, MO Dear Friends and caregiver- Loretta Woolsey and Keith Newcom of Herrin, IL He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 13, 2010 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Ralph Brandon will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed at graveside by the Herrin VFW & American Legion Posts with assistance from the Illinois National Guard. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service Friday at the funeral home. Masonic rites will begin at 1:30 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
