Jimmie "Deon" Brayfield

Carbondale- Jimmie Deon Brayfield, 72, of Carbondale, passed away at 8:00 PM, Friday, December 31, 2010 at Helia Health Care of Carbondale. He was born on July 18, 1938 in Cambria to Wayne & Lucille (Noble) Brayfield. He formerly worked as a clerk at Macks Big Store and owned and operated Brayfield Janitorial. He was a member of the retail clerks union. Survivors include- Nieces and nephews: Greg Brayfield of Murphysboro Timothy Brayfield of Murphysboro Jill (Brayfield) Waller and husband Rick Sr. of Chester Jonathan Brayfield and wife Virginia of Anna Daniel Brayfield of Alaska Four Great Nephews Four Great Nieces One Great Great Nephew He was preceded in death by his parents, son- Mitchell Wayne Brayfield and brother- Richard Wayne Brayfield. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 5, 2010 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Donald Maas will officiate. Burial will follow at Cundiff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service, Wednesday at the funeral home.
