Jo Ann Williams

Herrin- Jo Ann Williams, age 72, of Herrin, passed away at 1:20am on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Herrin Hospital. Jo Ann was born in Herrin on October 19, 1945, the daughter of Christine (DeBose) Bailey.  She had worked more than 35 years for Maytag in Herrin. Survivors include her daughter- Chris Williams of Sarasota, FL Son- Brent Horn of Goreville Son- Archie Williams of Herrin Sister- Mary Nicks of Carterville Beloved Dog- Kiwi She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant children- Roseanna and Donald, Sister- Georgia Horn, Brother- Edward Bailey, and life partner- Thomas Horn. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Mark Fisher officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Francis Animal Shelter or Wright Way Animal Rescue.
