Carterville- JO ANN (CLENDENIN) YOUNG, age 63, of Carterville, passed away at 9:52pm on Friday, August 12, 2011 at her home in Carterville. Jo Ann was born on February 22, 1948, the daughter of William D. and Helen (Quartermous) Clendenin. She was homemaker. Survivors include her son- Emmett and Jerrie Shepard of Sturgis, KY Son- Jerry Shepard of St. Cloud, FL Son- Billy and Lori Williams of Marion, IL Daughter- Jennifer and Shawn Hunter of Kissimmee, FL Daughter- Sheila Sabo of Ohio 15 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, grandson- Zach Griffith, brother- Leonard Clendenin, and sister- Patsy Clendenin. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Chris Clendenin and Rev. Cecil Clendenin officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Monday, August 15, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
