Joanne A. Sollami

Herrin- Joanne Agnes Sollami, 67, of Herrin, passed away at 5:48 am, Monday, December 14, 2009 at her home. Joanne was born in Westmont, IL on February 4, 1942, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Webster) Barton. She married Phillip Sollami in Westmont on November 4, 1967. They shared forty-two years of marriage. He survives in Herrin. Mrs. Sollami was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She graduated from MacMurray College in Jacksonville. Joanne also served as past president of Herrins Business and Professional Women. Survivors include her husband- Phillip Sollami of Herrin, IL Four Daughters- Sherry L. Gorcowski of Herrin, IL Laura A. and Dennis Munks of Carbondale, IL Deborah S. and Juan Carlos Losada of Carbondale, IL Kathleen M. Sollami of Carterville, IL Seven Grandchildren- Alexandria Munks, Ryland Sollami, Rocco Gorcowski, Haidyn Munks, Mateo Losada, Stephanie Gorcowski, Gabriela Losada Three Brothers- Ron Barton of Naperville, IL Bill Barton of St Charles, IL George Barton of Batavia, IL The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, December 18, 2009 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm 9:00 pm, Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the funeral home.
