James A. Cohn, 80, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 10:42 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
James was born August 16, 1927 the son of Leon Charles & Margelia Blanch (Savage) Cohn in Buffalo, New York. He married Francis Williams in 1956 and she preceded him in death in 1989.
He was a chef in the Navy, during WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War serving for over 33 years. He was a member of the Crainville Baptist Church, Carterville Lions Club and life member of the Marion VFW Post #1301 and Carterville American Legion.
James is survived by:

Friends Randy & Helen Ferguson of Hurst and Judy Leeper of Herrin
Preceded by Parents, Wife and One Brother.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Charles Epperly officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from Noon until the time of service. Military rites will be presented at the funeral home by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and National Guard Unit. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri.
