ENERGY- John A. Junior Wagoner, age 82, of Energy, IL, passed away at 12:40 PM on Friday, March 31, 2006 at his daughters residence in Thompsonville.
John was born in Johnston City on September 21, 1923 to Albert Henry and Sarah (Felts) Wagoner. He married Betty Hileman in Herrin on December 18, 1962. She survives in Thompsonville.
Mr. Wagoner was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Herrin. He was also a member of the Herrin VFW and American Legion as well as the UMWA Local #8490. Junior was a US Army Veteran of World War II, having serviced in the South Pacific.

Son- Randall L. Wagoner- East Alton, IL
Daughter and Son-In-Law- Sarah and Don Bennett- Thompsonville, IL
Stepson and Daughter-In-Law- George and Linda Budd- Shorewood, IL
Grandson- John Smith
Step Granddaughter- Tawnie Budd
Niece- Joanne and Leo Cabutti- Champaign, IL
John was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son- Billy Wagoner, and two sisters- Freda Nelson and Meda B. Rendleman
Funeral services for Mr. Wagoner will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday April 4, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Jerry Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City, with military rites performed by Herrins American Legion and VFW Posts. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of the service on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
