John Henry Tinault

John Henry Tinault, 93, of Marion, passed away at 2:40 am, Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

John was born July 7, 1926 in Chicago the son of Henry J. and Catherine (Canavan) Tinault.  He married Marion LaVerne “Angel” Finn on January 20, 1951 at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Chicago. Together they shared over 66 years of marriage until her death on November 21, 2018.

He was catholic and a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion where he served as a Eucharistic minister.  He was a Navy veteran, proudly serving his country during WWII. John, along with his wife and son, William operated the family business, General Metal Spinning.

Survivors include: Son – Joseph Tinault and wife Sonya of Scottsdale, AZ

Twin sons – John Tinault and wife Gayle of Bensenville and Michael Tinault and wife Lisa of Wauwatosa, WI

Son – Daniel Tinault and wife Patricia of Addison

Son – William Tinault and wife Michele of Creal Springs

Daughter – Marion Tinault-Johnson of Carol Stream

Sister-in-law – Sister Loretta Finn of Kankakee

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters – Katherine Driscoll, Rosemary Kloepfer, Regina Begavich, son-in-law – Harry Begavich, brother – Eddie Tinault, sister – Vivian Hanson and sister-in-law – Betty Finn.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 am, Friday, October 25, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion.  Father Brian Barker will officiate.  Visitation will be from 9 am until the time of service at the church. Burial will be Tuesday, October 29^th in All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.  Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 am – 11 am at the Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
