John R. Norris

John R. Norris, 57 died Thursday May 06, 2004 at 8:51 P.M. at his residence with his family at his side. John was born July 14, 1946 to Arlie and Alene (Barwick) Norris in Marion. He married Lois Craig on September 04, 1965 and she survives in Marion. John was a retired coal miner. He was of the Baptist faith, and a member of the UMW of A. Survivors include: Three Daughters and Son-in-laws: Jackie & Jeff Shadowens of Marion, Carmen & Chris Cutsinger of Marion, Michelle & Jared Whitehead of Marion. Grandchildren: Tom Richardson, Jeniffer Shadowens, Bianca Shadowens, Krista & Katie Cutsinger, Andrea, Mollee & Chaise Whitehead. Five Brothers and Sister-in-laws: Butch & Cheryl Norris of Coello, Ronnie & Patty Norris of Marion, Donald & Becky Norris of Marion, Rick Norris of Marion, Tim & Vickie Norris of Herrin. Three Sisters and Brother-in-laws: Mary & Jim Baker of Marion, Debbie & Mike Fly of Marion, Liz & Terry Bishop of Creal Springs. Several Nieces & Nephews. Preceded by: Parents, Sister-Linda Hebbeler and Grandson-Cody Whitehead. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 09, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. in Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Jason Jean officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Paulton. Visitation will be Saturday, May 8th from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. John loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was his family and he will be greatly missed by all.
